To combat this, we are starting a database of Latinx media producers in the conservation film industry. We want to get this database into the hands of industry leaders to push for an increase of representation that is accurate and impactful.
This database will be available to industry leaders and will help push for better representation in events cWave Labs participate in, as well as the industry as a whole.
Here at cWave Labs, we recognize the power of diversity and accessibility. Information needs to be obtainable to a variety of communities to have a far-reaching and long-lasting impact.
However, there is a severe lack of representation of both Latin American stories and Latinx filmmakers in the conservation film industry.
